Job Summary

Nordson Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Operations to lead our Operations organization and drive business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the Operations organization to achieve optimum efficiency and maximize profits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a growth framework strategy for the site, leveraging the Nordson Business System (NBS) Next framework.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on safety, cost of poor quality, on-time delivery, productivity, cost reduction, and overall margin improvement.
  • Control and reduce manufacturing costs, ensuring alignment with product margin targets established by the business area.
  • Ensure efficient manufacturing and delivery of all products, meeting operations business needs while effectively managing direct labor and inventory levels.
  • Align with other EFD locations to support the EFD business.
  • Measure, track, and respond to performance KPI results to support business commitments to the corporation.
  • Maintain facility processes and measure results to support global business targets in growth, productivity, cost reduction, inventory control, and delivery performance.
  • Develop a high-performing operations team, establishing training and development programs as required.
  • Maintain a measurement system for operational aspects of the enterprise.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and ownership through agile and effective communications, processes, and execution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum * years of professional experience in a manufacturing operations leadership role.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Outstanding leadership competencies, demonstrated through a solid history of career progression.
  • Results-oriented approach, focused on developing and building high-performance teams.
  • Ability to manage at all levels, communicate a clear and compelling CI agenda, and influence others to support timely achievement of initiatives and goals.
  • Strategic, critical thinker with strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Creative thinker who can develop and implement new ideas and approaches.
