Role Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of specialized, robotic-controlled automated fastening machines utilized in aircraft assembly. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Broetje is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of this advanced equipment.

Education & Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in CNC or machine tool troubleshooting.

Key Skills:

  • Proficient in mechanical equipment maintenance and technical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols related to hand and power tools, lifting equipment, and ladders.
  • Detail-oriented with a flexible attitude, eager to learn and improve job knowledge and efficiency.
  • Adherence to safe work practices and policies, including safe driving rules for forklifts and man-lifts.
  • Experience in PLC troubleshooting and maintenance, with a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuit troubleshooting and repair.
  • Understanding of basic shop arithmetic and the metric system.
  • Competence in basic MS Windows and MS Office applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure machinery and mechanical equipment operate efficiently by completing maintenance tasks on Broetje Automated Fuselage Equipment and related systems, adhering to operational manuals and engineering specifications.
  • Identify issues by observing mechanical and electrical assemblies in operation, utilizing precision measuring tools.
  • Disassemble defective components using hand and power tools, hoists, and cranes, while assessing the condition of parts.
  • Adjust functional components of tools and equipment according to OEM specifications.
  • Minimize downtime through routine preventive maintenance in compliance with OEM standards.
  • Manage inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
  • Utilize maintenance resources efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Compile mechanical maintenance reports by analyzing and summarizing relevant data.
  • Facilitate continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating maintenance actions and ongoing needs.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following established procedures and regulations.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results as required.
