Job Overview

Intrepid Studios is on the lookout for a skilled Community Manager (UK) who possesses a deep enthusiasm for gaming, community engagement, influencer partnerships, and digital communication. This pivotal role collaborates closely with marketing and game development teams to foster excitement and build relationships on behalf of the organization. The ideal candidate should be proactive, self-driven, and well-versed in brand marketing and communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality communications (e.g., social media posts, articles) with a focus on timeliness and relevance.
  • Oversee the scheduling and management of blog content.
  • Serve as the public-facing representative of Intrepid, articulating the brand's message across various platforms and during events.
  • Lead the design and implementation of community development initiatives tailored for the United Kingdom.
  • Manage communication strategies and channels, aiming for ongoing enhancement.
  • Formulate and execute responses to player communications.
  • Create opportunities for engagement at both in-person and virtual events.
  • Evaluate and report on content performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Provide insightful feedback to game teams regarding community sentiments, concerns, and suggestions.
  • Collaborate effectively with global team members.
  • Ensure the highest quality standards for the team and brand.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Writing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in brand communications, writing, social media, and community management.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing communication channels, content calendars, and analytics.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
  • Familiarity with project management and process optimization.
  • Willingness to travel, including internationally, and to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees in communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Training and experience in project management.
  • Avid gamer with substantial experience in Intrepid's games.
  • Established personal network within Intrepid's gaming communities.
  • Experience in video production and/or graphic design.

Interview Process:

The interview process for this position includes the following steps:

  • 30-minute interview with a member of our Talent Acquisition Team.
  • 60-minute interview with the Hiring Manager and Team.
  • Final interview with the Executive Team.
  • Reference checks and background verification.


Compensation and Benefits:

We offer competitive compensation aligned with market standards, along with a substantial annual bonus structure. The salary range for this position is between $66,000 - $92,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation decisions are made based on various factors, including experience level and skill set.
