Position Summary:

The Wire Desk Specialist in the Mortgage Sector is tasked with managing and executing wire transfers associated with mortgage loan disbursements. This position guarantees that all wire transactions are processed with precision, security, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding attention to detail and the capability to perform efficiently under stringent deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wire Processing and Execution:
    • Facilitate wire transfers for mortgage loan disbursements.
    • Confirm and validate wire instructions, ensuring alignment with mortgage loan documentation and compliance standards.
    • Collaborate with title companies, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and precise wire transfers.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Oversee and reconcile daily wire transfer activities.
    • Compile and maintain comprehensive reports on wire transfer activities, including end-of-day reconciliations and exception reporting.
    • Identify and report any discrepancies or issues in wire transactions, taking prompt corrective measures.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Act as the primary contact for wire transfer inquiries related to mortgage transactions.
    • Engage with internal teams to resolve any wire transfer-related issues.
    • Work closely with external partners such as banks and title companies to ensure seamless wire transactions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure all wire transfers adhere to federal and state regulations, as well as internal company policies.
    • Identify potential risks or fraudulent activities related to wire transfers and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:
  • Prior experience in wire desk operations is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with mortgage loan processing, closing, and funding procedures is beneficial.

Qualifications:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Capacity to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during high-volume periods.
