Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment projects
  • Develop and review technical approaches, detailed electrical design, and system controls
  • Responsible for scoping, scheduling, and budgeting requirements in the design of process engineering projects
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and client requirements
  • Perform specific technical work functions as required by project requirements
  • Review and prepare technical documents, drawings, specifications, and proposals
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties
  • Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing
  • Review and manage written document production
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform electrical engineering tasks
  • Directing multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in electrical engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience in electrical engineering field with a focus on the design phase for water and wastewater engineering projects
  • Strong background with industrial equipment, electrical motors and drives, power distribution, building service and wiring, and process controls/automation
  • Experience with process instrumentation and controls systems
  • Experience in the development and approval of single line diagrams and network diagrams
  • Experience with modeling and design tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation
  • Demonstrated working knowledge with applicable codes (i.e. NEC, NFPA) and Federal and State regulations
  • Experience with managing multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Excellent leadership and detail-orientation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in electrical engineering
  • Professional registration (P.E.)
