Electrical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO. As a key member of our engineering design practice, you will apply your electrical engineering skills to support our water and wastewater treatment practices for industrial and municipal sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply electrical engineering skills to develop and review technical approaches, detailed electrical design, and system controls.
  • Responsible for scoping, scheduling, and budgeting requirements in the design of process engineering projects.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure installation and operations conform to standards and client requirements.
  • Perform specific technical work functions as required by project requirements, including site visits, conceptual and detailed designs, and technical analysis and review.
  • Review and prepare technical documents, drawings, specifications, and proposals.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
  • Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing.
  • Review and manage written document production.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform electrical engineering tasks.
  • Directing multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in electrical engineering.
  • At least 8 years of experience in electrical engineering field with a focus on the design phase for water and wastewater engineering projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong background with industrial equipment, electrical motors and drives, power distribution, building service and wiring, and process controls/automation.
  • Experience with process instrumentation and controls systems.
  • Experience in the development and approval of single line diagrams and network diagrams.
  • Experience with modeling and design tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge with applicable codes (i.e. NEC, NFPA) and Federal and State regulations.
  • Experience with managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent leadership and detail-orientation skills.
