Role Summary:

As a Senior Communications Strategist supporting our Federal government client, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of crafting and executing project deliverables, which may include webinars, office hours, visual content, FAQs, briefings, and informational sheets. This position will involve enhancing and promoting Federal grant-funded initiatives, formulating and executing targeted communication strategies, and guiding the team in best practices regarding brand consistency, quality control, and collaboration among various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the creation of project deliverables, such as standard operating procedures, email communications, informational sheets, FAQ documents, presentation decks, and more, while managing multiple rounds of content development and revisions to meet the diverse needs of stakeholders.
  • Supervise a junior communications team member, providing guidance on knowledge capture, technical editing, and other tasks to foster their professional development.
  • Manage both internal and external official communications related to programmatic updates, upcoming events, deadlines, and essential materials.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and follow-up of internal and external events, from establishing objectives to conducting post-event evaluations, ensuring seamless coordination with all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate client meetings, building trusting relationships through transparency, accountability, and innovative approaches.
  • Analyze performance data from various reports to highlight program successes and identify compelling human interest narratives.
  • Design training materials with a focus on maintaining brand integrity and quality standards.
  • Enhance systems, processes, and policies to improve stakeholder engagement and team collaboration.
  • Act as a liaison between technical program knowledge and public engagement initiatives across intra-agency and inter-agency offices.
  • Propose solutions that align with client needs and desired outcomes, leveraging expertise to inform format and functionality decisions.
  • Commit to our principles of delivering results, fostering growth, and thriving together.

Work Environment:

This position allows you to work as part of a dynamic team in a remote setting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 7 years of consulting or directly relevant industry experience
  • Familiarity with federal and/or state grants management
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality assurance
  • Ability to adapt and maintain professionalism while managing multiple projects and receiving feedback from supervisors and clients
  • Open to feedback from clients and colleagues, with a proactive approach to making necessary adjustments
  • Comfortable working independently and within a remote team to drive successful outcomes
  • US citizenship or permanent residency with the ability to obtain public trust clearance or suitability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in content development, event management, public relations, project planning, team leadership, and meeting facilitation
