Serving over 5,000 students annually across multiple campuses and remote centers, NPC operates within a vast 21,000-square-mile service area that includes the tribal lands of the Navajo, Hopi, and White Mountain Apache peoples. Governed by a five-member elected District Governing Board, NPC is a decentralized, public community college dedicated to providing a range of programs, from non-credit courses to associate and bachelor’s degrees.

The student body is predominantly part-time, with 82% enrolled part-time, and includes a significant number of first-generation college students. NPC is committed to fostering a supportive environment for all students, particularly those from rural and underrepresented backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  5. Enhance technological capabilities to improve distance learning offerings.
  6. Build and maintain strong partnerships with K-12 institutions, economic development organizations, and community agencies.
  7. Advocate for the financial needs of rural community colleges at the state level.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will embody the values of NPC and demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity and student engagement. They will possess:

  • A master’s degree from an accredited institution, with a doctorate preferred.
  • Extensive experience in higher education administration.
  • A proven track record of fostering diverse and equitable learning environments.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to make data-informed decisions.
  • Experience in managing complex budgets and identifying alternative revenue streams.
