Position Overview:
The Field Service Business Training Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering a uniform training experience for both new recruits and current staff, ensuring they can effectively execute their responsibilities. A key aspect of this position involves supporting the overall management of the Dead River Institute and designing as well as facilitating training and coaching that aligns with the standards and vision of Dead River Company. Training methods will include classroom sessions, small group interactions, eLearning, WebEx, and other formats to guarantee a cohesive experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent training across all Dead River Company locations.
- Deliver hands-on, technical training on live equipment at the Dead River Institute for Apprentices, Technicians, and Delivery Drivers.
- Oversee the maintenance of the DRI facility and equipment, ensuring all training materials are current with manufacturer and code requirements.
- Conduct classroom, small group, and on-the-job training for new and existing employees on standard practices, policies, procedures, and technologies.
- Collaborate with Regional Directors on projects aimed at process improvement and the integration of modern technologies.
- Identify, design, and implement training plans, including follow-up training for process stabilization.
- Conduct thorough training needs assessments in partnership with the Training Manager and internal stakeholders.
- Based on assessments, provide constructive feedback, propose targeted solutions, develop training plans, and manage their execution.
- Assist new and existing employees with performance issues and retraining as needed.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires to facilitate their integration into the company culture and understanding of business processes.
- Create and update training materials to reflect and support standard practices.
- Stay informed about industry standards, trends, product technologies, and best practices for employee training.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in relevant fields (Delivery, Service, Office) is necessary.
- A minimum of 3 years in a management role within the company is required.
- Previous experience in training is essential.
- Familiarity with web-based technologies to enhance employee learning is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation abilities.
- Capability to build collaborative relationships across various functional areas.
- Ability to drive organizational change.
- Alignment with the core values of Dead River Company.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Capacity to meet multiple deadlines and business objectives.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Master OB and/or Master LP license, along with any other relevant licenses or certifications in the area of expertise.
Work Environment:
This role involves approximately 20% of time spent in an office setting for administrative tasks, while 80% is dedicated to fieldwork and training activities. Travel to various company locations is required.
