About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Authorization Specialist to join our team at Foley Cancer Center. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the prior authorization process for cancer treatments, ensuring that patients receive timely access to life-saving therapies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage prior authorizations for cancer treatments, working closely with providers, pharmacists, and nurses to ensure coverage and resolve denials.
- Independently analyze and implement strategies to address issues and document relevant information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cancer treatments, medications, and industry developments to provide expert guidance and support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office or hospital setting, preferably with prior authorization experience.
- Certified Prior Authorization Specialist (CPAS) certification desirable.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
