Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to fill this critical role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assume various clinical and distributive functions to ensure seamless medication management.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify, resolve, and prevent potential and actual drug-related problems.
- Provide expert advice on medication therapy, including dosing, interactions, and side effects.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize medication use and patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medication management.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.).
- Previous experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Vermont pharmacy license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Ability to think critically and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy residency.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other health information systems.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Salary Range: $52.63 - $84.08 per hour.
