The ideal candidate will have experience leading HR efforts cross-functionally and culturally in a complex and growing organization, with a thorough understanding of HR best practices and a track record of success. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey expertise and empathy to staff while building clarity around processes and expectations.
About the Role
This Senior Director, Human Resources position plays a critical role in supporting the executive leadership team and driving strategic initiatives across the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining trust-based relationships with senior leaders and management teams to inform organizational-wide HR practices, systems, and culture.
- Overseeing all matters related to employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, retention, talent development, performance management, benefits administration, office and facilities management, compensation, and DEI.
- Guiding the learning journey on how to best serve, include, and support a multicultural, multi-site organization, ensuring that all offices have the necessary support.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 8–10 years' experience in progressively responsible, hands-on HR generalist roles.
- Ideal experience includes HR leadership roles in some combination of philanthropic, nonprofit, NGO, and/or related experience in social purpose companies, the private sector, or government.
- Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-CP, or SCP are valued.
What We Offer
Energy Foundation offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
