Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC O&M F&S Specialist III to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance duties and minor technical tasks to maintain our structures, equipment, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine repairs of structures, including wall repairs, carpet installation, and painting.
  • Observe assigned areas for maintenance issues, report items in need of attention to supervisor, and make routine repairs as requested.
  • Assist in materials inventory and perform routine building and safety checks on heating, cooling, and other equipment.
  • Comply with work order system, interpreting work orders, performing work requested, and completing work orders per instruction.
  • Perform a variety of maintenance functions related to plumbing, electrical, A/V, security, carpentry, doors, and hardware.
  • Run errands, retrieve supplies/materials for tasks, hold objects (materials requiring more than one person), and clean-up after completion of tasks.
  • Work in occupied areas of a functioning administrative and secure facility, operating various grounds, housekeeping, or construction equipment as needed.
  • Move furniture and equipment as assigned and ensure all light fixtures are operational, changing light bulbs as necessary.
  • Assist in layout, construction, and repair of plant or office structures, such as walls, partitions, doors, concrete forms, raised floors, ceiling tiles, or roofs.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to read labels, directions, work orders, etc.
  • Two to three years of general maintenance experience or two to three years in previous Generalist positions.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Team player committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Ability to work second or third shift, holidays, and weekends as required.
  • Physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, including ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
