Job Summary

$500 Sign On Bonus; $500 Retention Bonus After 6 Months

This is a 2nd Shift Position 2:30pm to 11pm Monday thru Friday with on-call rotating weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and repair boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Construct, finish, install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate, service, repair, or diagnose malfunctions of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems, and similar specialty equipment items with appropriate training, certification skills, and licensing requirements as needed.
  • Read blueprints, specifications, and models to learn work layout; plan own work layout.
  • Maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete tests and inspections.
  • Respond to emergency problems in the facility and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Make recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Boiler Operator in an institutional setting.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to use computerized work order system.
  • HS Diploma or GED.
