Key Responsibilities:We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic individual with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and enhancing the patient experience through friendly and attentive interactions. Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming patients and managing their check-in and check-out processes.
- Entering new patient data into our systems and verifying the accuracy of patient charts.
- Collecting necessary signatures and processing payments.
- Coordinating patient flow within the office.
- Assisting patients with billing and insurance inquiries.
- Scheduling appointments and managing referrals.
- Maintaining patient records and handling various administrative tasks.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 1-3 years of recent experience in a medical reception role (preferred).
- Prior experience in a dermatology setting (preferred).
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
- Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in operating standard office equipment.
- Intermediate computer skills, including experience with EMR systems.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, with some standing and reaching.
- Manual dexterity for keyboard operation.
- Correctable vision and normal hearing range for telephone communication.
- Capability to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds.
