Position Overview:
This role involves completing all engineered system debugging and startup processes prior to operational testing at Lincoln Electric Automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively meet project timelines and budget constraints.
- Address system troubleshooting needs, including wiring, PLC, HMI, robot logic/path programming, and network & fieldbus issues.
- Lead technician responsibilities as necessary.
- Assist in the creation of technical manuals.
- Ensure system schematics reflect the as-built condition.
- Travel for field startup and customer training as required.
- Provide in-house customer service support, including training and technical assistance.
- Complete necessary ISO documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with Project Engineers, Assembly Technicians, Electrical Technicians, Electrical Designers, and Management.
- Support the skill development of fellow technicians.
Qualifications:
- A Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design, programming, and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Familiarity with machine programming (PLC/HMI) is essential, with preferred experience in Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Bosch.
- Knowledge of safety system programming and troubleshooting is beneficial.
- Experience in network and fieldbus programming and troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Robot programming experience with brands such as Motoman, Fanuc, OTC, Nachi, or ABB is preferred.
- Background in robotic welding (MIG, TIG, Laser, or Spot) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
