ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Builds and nurtures business relationships with existing and potential clients within the designated territory across all Mannington & Phenix product lines.
- Delivers engaging product knowledge presentations to retail and flooring contractor teams.
- Responds promptly to customer inquiries, ensuring swift resolution of issues and concerns.
- Collaborates with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical services to enhance sales efforts.
- Evaluates market potential within the territory, assessing the value of current and prospective clients.
- Maintains a robust sales pipeline, aiming for at least 30% of annual revenue goals through a defined consultative selling process.
- Conducts regular business reviews with key accounts, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Acts as a product knowledge authority, guiding clients on suitable applications and market trends.
- Ensures merchandising displays are current and compliant with marketing standards.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date customer account pricing.
- Represents Mannington & Phenix at industry trade shows and conventions.
- Manages territory within the allocated budget for samples, merchandising, and travel expenses.
- Utilizes company technology and CRM systems to optimize sales revenue.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Performance expectations for the Territory Sales Manager include:
- Achieving annual territory sales revenue of $2.1 million.
- Maintaining a minimum of 75 active accounts.
- Conducting at least 20 customer-facing calls weekly.
- Completing a minimum of 10 consultative sales process calls weekly.
- Ensuring all CRM updates are timely and accurate.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of outside sales experience with a proven performance record.
- Experience with a consultative sales methodology.
- Proficiency in utilizing CRM systems for sales management.
- Strong analytical skills to identify market trends.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This role involves frequent interactions with flooring retailers, requiring mobility within various environments. The position necessitates driving to appointments and engaging in physical activities such as merchandising and display management.
