ZCON Builders is on the lookout for a qualified individual to join our team as a Project Engineer.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager and the project team by managing project documentation, overseeing job cost accounting, scheduling, and supervising construction activities for our large-scale commercial projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Manager with on-site operations to guarantee project success.
  • Ensure the project timeline is adhered to and meets expected deadlines.
  • Oversee the Request for Information (RFI) process; draft, monitor, and maintain a comprehensive log.
  • Manage the Submittals process effectively.
  • Keep an updated Permit Log.
  • Revise Construction Drawings and As-Built documents as necessary.
  • Handle owner billings and address project-related accounting matters as needed.
  • Engage with all key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Assist the site Superintendent with daily operations.
  • Maintain thorough daily logs, reports, submittals, RFIs, sublists, subcontracts, schedules, change orders, material procurement, logistics, as-builts, and project closeout documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architectural, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction or engineering field.
  • Certification in Construction Project Management is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Prior experience in retail, commercial, or multi-family construction is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, ProCore, Plangrid, and MS Project is required.
