Job Summary

The Project Manager at Murray Company Mechanical Contractors is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects from initial estimating through completion. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project execution plans in collaboration with the executive management team, estimating, and field operations.
  • Establish project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Monitor and control project costs, labor, materials, and equipment, preparing cost-to-complete reports quarterly.
  • Prepare and submit monthly billings to general contractors or owners, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Represent Murray Company in project meetings, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist in labor negotiations and strategy development, ensuring fair and competitive labor practices.
  • Document and address pending problems, advising management on necessary actions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience and understanding of industrial construction and engineering design concepts.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in mechanical projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply innovative management techniques to maximize employee performance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to climb ladders, access and egress trenches and/or attic spaces and/or confined spaces.
