Position Overview:

The Lead Business Insights Consultant, Credit Risk Analytics is tasked with gathering and analyzing data to derive insights, develop pertinent materials, create data visualization reports, and propose solutions for less complex challenges to meet business objectives. This role offers consultative support, business insights, and expertise to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning by utilizing and interpreting data and analytical models to deliver business-specific or broad strategic insights, employing various audience-tailored communication methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates autonomously as the senior analyst and subject matter expert, with potential to mentor and educate others.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert in a specific domain.
  • Manages and/or independently executes tasks from start to finish.
  • Focuses on short to medium-term challenges (e.g., monthly to quarterly).
  • Independently conducts activities from initiation to completion.
  • Generates weekly or monthly visual dashboards to assess performance and effectiveness across all supported business lines.
  • Analyzes trends, provides insights, and makes recommendations.
  • Communicates findings, customer trends, and other insights to business stakeholders and decision-makers clearly and concisely.
  • Ensures the quality and integrity of data from various banking systems and external sources.
  • Collaborates with business units and marketing partners to comprehend business drivers, definitions, and metrics to interpret findings and take actionable steps.
  • Collects, documents, and designs data integration and visualization requirements for analytical initiatives.
  • Contributes to process reviews and assists in identifying opportunities for operational improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or specialization in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in information management, statistics, mathematics, science, or finance, or a graduate degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in PC applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint, along with various analytical and reporting software.
  • Strong understanding of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL/R, Visual Basic, Python).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret data and draw conclusions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Technical proficiency in SQL and TABLEAU.
  • Knowledge of coding and Alteryx is advantageous.

  • Utilizes understanding of business strategies to generate relevant and meaningful data analyses and materials that support the establishment and advancement of business goals and objectives.
