Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a Float CT Imaging Specialist to enhance our operations. We are redefining the standards in radiology, making it an essential initial step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Be a part of our mission to elevate the field of radiology.

As a Float CT Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to operate CT imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients across various facilities within the region. You will provide technical assistance, ensuring that services are delivered to patients and referring healthcare professionals with the utmost professionalism and exceptional customer care. This role is part-time, with a focus on Day shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) Patient Imaging Duties

  • Conducts standard and advanced CT imaging procedures on specified body areas for use by healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patient conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluates patients prior to examinations for any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Prepares patients for CT imaging procedures, clearly explaining the process, positioning them appropriately for optimal scanning, and providing reassurance throughout the procedure.
  • Generates diagnostic images in designated areas and performs assigned quality control tasks.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters accurately and as needed, employing dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
  • Engages with physicians, nurses, patients, and family members as necessary.
  • Adheres strictly to physicians' directives and complies with safety protocols to safeguard themselves, patients, and colleagues.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring professionals, and fellow associates.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensures a tidy and organized workspace to promote safety for patients and colleagues.
  • Upholds ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.

(15%) Imaging Support Responsibilities

  • Ensures imaging equipment is well-maintained; cleans and disinfects after each use.
  • Assists in keeping the radiographic protocol manual up to date.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies.
  • Supports the training of new staff, offering resources and technical guidance.

(5%) Additional Duties

  • Performs other assigned tasks as necessary.
