Job Summary:
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Imaging: Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury.
- Patient Preparation: Screens patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination, prepares patients for MRI procedures, and explains the procedure and positioning patients for optimal scanning.
- Scan Parameters: Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed to ensure high-quality images.
- Communication: Maintains positive relationships with radiologists, referring offices, and other associates and peers, and communicates effectively with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required.
- Record Keeping: Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintains equipment in good working order, cleans and disinfects equipment after each use, and assists with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Department Support: Monitors medical supply inventory, assists with training of new associates, and provides resource and technical expertise.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow safety protocols.
- Basic knowledge of MRI technology and procedures.
