Job Overview

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a Float CT Technologist to enhance our operational capabilities. We are redefining the radiology landscape, making it an essential component in the diagnostic and treatment process. Become a part of our mission to elevate healthcare standards.

As a Float CT Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate CT imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients across various facilities within the region. You will provide essential technical support, ensuring that services are delivered to patients and referring healthcare professionals with the utmost professionalism and superior customer service. This is a part-time role with day shift hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) Patient Imaging Duties

  • Conducts standard and advanced CT imaging procedures on specified body areas for physician use in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, with minimal supervision required.
  • Evaluates patients prior to examinations for any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Prepares patients for CT imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly for optimal scanning, and providing emotional support throughout the procedure.
  • Generates diagnostic images in designated areas and performs assigned quality control tasks.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters as necessary, employing dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
  • Engages with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and their families as needed.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and complies with safety regulations to safeguard patients, colleagues, and oneself.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring professionals, and fellow team members.
  • Accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work environment organized and clean to promote safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Maintains compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.

(15%) Imaging Support Responsibilities

  • Ensures imaging equipment is well-maintained and disinfected after each use.
  • Contributes to the upkeep of an updated radiographic protocol manual.
  • Monitors inventory levels of medical supplies.
  • Assists in the training of new staff, providing guidance and technical knowledge.

(5%) Additional Duties

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
