Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a Float CT Technologist to enhance our operational capabilities. We are redefining the standards in radiology, making it an essential initial step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

As a Float CT Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate CT imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients at various facilities within the region. You will provide technical assistance, ensuring that services are delivered to patients and referring medical professionals with the utmost professionalism and superior customer service. This role is part-time, focusing on Day shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) Patient Imaging Duties

  • Conducts both routine and advanced CT imaging procedures on specified body areas for diagnostic purposes, requiring minimal supervision or repeat examinations.
  • Evaluates patients prior to imaging for any potential risks or contraindications related to the procedure.
  • Prepares patients for CT imaging sessions by clearly explaining the process, positioning them appropriately for optimal scans, and providing emotional support throughout the procedure.
  • Generates diagnostic images in designated areas and performs assigned quality control tasks.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters accurately and as necessary, employing dose reduction techniques when applicable.
  • Engages with physicians, nurses, patients, and their families as needed.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and complies with safety protocols to ensure the protection of patients, colleagues, and oneself.
  • Fosters a positive working relationship with radiologists, referring professionals, and fellow staff members.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work environment organized and clean to promote safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.

(15%) Imaging Support Responsibilities

  • Maintains imaging equipment in optimal working condition; cleans and disinfects after each use.
  • Assists in the upkeep of an updated radiographic protocol manual.
  • Monitors and manages medical supply inventory.
  • Supports the training of new staff members by providing resources and technical knowledge.

(5%) Additional Duties
