Position Summary
We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist responsible for delivering comprehensive inventory management support throughout the organization, ensuring that materials are handled safely, swiftly, and economically. Key responsibilities include monitoring inventory movements, performing regular audits, maintaining appropriate storage conditions, and collaborating with various departments to fulfill production requirements. Strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in inventory management software are critical for success in this role.
This position is classified internally as Inventory Control Specialist. Our team is currently looking to fill a Grade 14 position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general verification, receive, categorize, secure, and distribute incoming materials and supplies.
- Provide internal customer support and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare work orders safely and promptly in line with company standards.
- Assist with electronic inventory management in compliance with ESD protocols.
- Execute cycle counts and physical audits of program/government furnished and company-owned materials.
- Prepare, ship, and monitor outgoing shipments using FedEx and UPS.
- Deliver materials to appropriate inventory storage locations or designated drop points.
- Maintain inventory in accordance with best practices, including FAR/DFAR, DCAA, and AS9100 standards.
- Operate standard shipping and receiving warehouse equipment such as forklifts, power jacks, hand trucks, and manual pallet jacks.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of stockroom areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office applications.
- At least 1 year of experience with ERP/inventory management systems.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong time management capabilities.
- Comfortable communicating with teams outside the Inventory department.
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
- Ability to manage stock levels, perform accurate data entry, and maintain precise inventory records.
- Proficient in using inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Analytical skills to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
