At Cosmetix West, we are a leading contract manufacturer in the cosmetics industry, located in the vibrant Los Angeles area. We are currently seeking a Senior Quality Control Analyst to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of Raw Materials, Fragrances, and Bulk/Intermediate products to ensure compliance with established specifications.
- Complete detailed inspection documentation for Finished Bulk/Intermediate products and/or Raw Materials and Fragrances.
- Maintain and update the status of Raw Materials and Bulk/Intermediate products within our ERP system.
- Oversee the management of raw material retains for the department.
- Perform in-process testing on Bulk products and implement necessary adjustments.
- Prepare lab batches when substituting vendors for raw materials in existing formulations and monitor the production process.
- Conduct various testing procedures as required, including Stability and Compatibility assessments.
- Assist in the execution of Raw Materials and Bulk/Intermediate Cycle Counts and Full Inventories.
- Provide support to Research & Development as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Over-the-Counter (OTC) products is essential.
- Proficient in the use of laboratory instruments such as pH Meters, Refractive Index devices, Pycnometers, Brookfield Viscometers, Color Matching tools, Scales, and lab mixers.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in a quality control role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology is required.
- This is an onsite position, requiring presence five days a week.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of 2-3 individuals.
- Compensation up to $33.00 per hour.
