Position Overview:
The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in maintaining a successful and efficiently run establishment. This position is responsible for executing all nightly audit-related tasks while consistently delivering outstanding hospitality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist guests in a courteous and friendly manner, both in person and over the phone.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of hotel offerings, including room types, pricing, packages, and local attractions, to effectively address guest inquiries.
- Manage guest information through computer systems, including:
- Confirming reservations and room rates
- Coding electronic keys
- Processing payments and billing for room charges and additional services
- Facilitate guest check-out processes, ensuring that rooms are accurately accounted for and prepared for incoming guests.
- Operate a cash register, maintaining an organized and precise cash drawer.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and amicably.
- Handle guest complaints with care, conducting necessary research to find satisfactory solutions.
- Relay messages to guests as required.
- Perform nightly balancing of in-room services and backup server data.
- Conduct inventory of room keys.
- Communicate essential shift information to management and team members.
- Uphold safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to learn and operate cash register systems and perform basic clerical tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Employees may encounter various outdoor elements and exposure to noise and cleaning substances during their shifts.
