Medical Records Clerk Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Medical Records Clerk to support our client's healthcare team in Worcester, MA. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of experience in medical records management, with a certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Record Management: Ensure all patient medical records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed.

  • Data Entry and Retrieval: Accurately enter patient information into electronic health records (EHR) systems and retrieve records as needed.

  • Compliance and Security: Maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

  • Patient Communication: Respond to patient inquiries regarding their medical records.

  • Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure records are complete and accessible.

Requirements:

  • At least 12 months of experience in medical records management.

  • Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) is highly preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour.
