We are seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a technology-driven program for a significant government client. This initiative will provide engineering services for network infrastructure and advanced enterprise computing systems, including endpoint devices, data center-hosted servers, multi-cloud services, virtualized applications, and storage solutions. Our Enterprise Computing Engineering services encompass modern application technologies, including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflows operating both on-premises and through remote cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services include core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management, network analytics, firewalls, access controls, and bandwidth service delivery.

Required Qualifications
We are actively looking for Cyber Security Systems Engineers with a minimum of sixteen (16) years of experience. This role supports various Assessment and Authorization (A&A) projects within the customer's Division, which encompasses multiple branches at different organizational levels. A Bachelor's or Master's Degree is preferred in relevant disciplines, though this requirement may be waived for candidates with direct ISSE experience supporting this agency.

Key skills include:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while being an effective communicator and facilitator, comfortable engaging with all levels from developers to senior staff.
  • Understanding of complex network environments involving shared networks and multiple security enclaves.
  • Capability to translate technical implementation into easily understood security terminology for effective communication and documentation.
  • Experience in documenting security control implementations and gathering artifacts to support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ICD 503 Security Accreditation for various A&A efforts.
  • Ability to comprehend the architecture of projects to draft Systems Security Plans (SSP) and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) within the Greenlight application.
  • Collaboration with team members to create additional A&A-related documents such as Contingency Plans (CP), General User Guides (GUG), Privileged User Guides (PUG), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support for A&A reviews conducted by Information System Security Officers (ISSO/M) and Security Controls Assessors (SCA).
  • Documentation of Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) and providing necessary artifacts for evidence gathering.
  • Coordination with contractors and staff to obtain A&A content and navigate the customer’s A&A process to achieve necessary authorizations.
  • Monitoring the status of various A&A projects to determine when re-submissions for accreditation or extensions are required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior ISSE experience directly supporting the customer.
  • Previous ISSO experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with security tools and reports such as Greenlight, RoadRunner, Rapid 7, WebInspect, App Detective, and Splunk.
  • Experience with public, private, and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.).
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VDI & VMWare).
  • Basic understanding of cloud security control implementation, PKI implementation, STIG compliance, and Security Development and Operations (SecDevOps) is beneficial.
  • Certifications such as CISSP or GSLC.
  • AWS Certified Security Specialty.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office365.
Compensation and Benefits
Full-Time Salary Range: $239,140

This range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by various factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
