If you are eager to contribute to a high-performing team that makes a significant impact, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer (CSSE) to join our technology-driven program supporting a vital government client. The CSSE evaluates and addresses system security vulnerabilities and risks throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves contributing to security planning, assessments, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities related to system and network operations. As a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer (CSSE), you will be instrumental in fortifying our security framework and ensuring a robust network.

The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer should possess the following qualifications:

A minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting A&A initiatives. Strong multitasking abilities and excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with individuals at all levels, from developers to senior management. Familiarity with complex network environments that include shared networks and multiple security enclaves. Capability to translate technical implementations into easily understandable security terminology, facilitating clear communication in both verbal and written forms. Document various security control implementations and gather artifacts supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ICD 503 Security Accreditation for different Assessment and Authorization (A&A) projects. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the architecture created or under development for each project to prepare Systems Security Plans (SSP)/Concept of Operations (CONOPS) in the Xacta application. Collaborate with team members to produce additional A&A-related documentation such as Contingency Plans (CP), General User Guides (GUG), Privileged User Guides (PUG), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assist in Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) reviews conducted by Information System Security Officers/Managers (ISSO/M) and Security Controls Assessors (SCA). Document Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) implementation responses or mitigations, providing all necessary artifacts. Coordinate with various contractor and staff personnel to gather A&A content and navigate the customer's A&A process to achieve necessary authorizations. Monitor the status of various A&A projects within the customer's A&A process to determine when re-submissions for accreditation or extensions are required.

Additional Qualifications:

Prior experience as an ISSE directly supporting the customer. Previous experience as an ISSO directly supporting the customer is advantageous. Familiarity with various security tools and reports such as Xacta, RoadRunner, Rapid 7, WebInspect, App Detective, and Splunk. Experience with public, private, and hybrid Cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.). Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VDI & VMWare). Basic understanding of Cloud security control implementation, PKI implementation, STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and Security Development and Operations (SecDevOps) is beneficial but not mandatory. Relevant certifications such as CISSP or GSLC. AWS Certified Security Specialty certification. Proficiency in basic Excel and Microsoft Office365.

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technical discipline is preferred, though this requirement may be waived with prior direct ISSE support experience. Three (3) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, totaling six (6) years of experience.

Position requires an active Security Clearance with the appropriate Polygraph.
