The Senior Exchange Systems Architect will play a vital role in supporting a team that provides engineering and technical assistance in a mission-critical Windows-based setting to users worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to analyze requirements, comprehend the architecture, and troubleshoot various data processing challenges related to applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design of the organization's technological framework and the execution of hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Exchange Server versions 2016 or 2019.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the supporting elements of the architecture, including operating systems and relevant networks.
  • Plan and execute upgrades for the Exchange platform, adapting standard deployment packages to align with unique security architectures.
  • Assess the current environment and assist in developing a platform roadmap, analyzing system performance, and recommending corrective and preemptive measures.
  • Devise, design, and implement solutions for identified issues, continually enhancing the quality of service provided by the email infrastructure.
  • Deliver timely and high-quality resolutions to customer inquiries, focusing on root cause analysis and knowledge transfer.
  • Assist in the evaluation of migration strategies to new Exchange server environments.
  • Address customer requests to rectify or modify malfunctioning applications.
  • Investigate issues related to applications, servers, and storage systems.
  • Report to management on the status of issues, corrective actions taken, and the outcomes of investigations.
  • Collaborate with Technical Account Managers to effectively manage critical sites, including documented action plans and status updates.
  • Participate in triage meetings to share knowledge with fellow engineers and efficiently resolve customer issues.

Required Qualifications:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer/Project Manager with a minimum of 11 years in the field. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred. The selected candidate will be expected to fulfill the following qualifications:

  • Expertise in Exchange Server 2016 or 2019, including experience with Database Availability Groups.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting performance issues in Exchange Server and Windows Server, particularly with Outlook 2016 or 2019.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to manage complex technical challenges by setting customer expectations, formulating action plans, and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Active Directory architecture, design, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) in iterative development environments.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Python, Perl) or proficiency in automating tasks through PowerShell scripting.
  • Certifications in Microsoft administration or engineering, including Azure, are preferred.
  • Core working hours are from 9:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range. Individual salaries are determined based on various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
