Position Overview

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to become an integral part of our Intensive Community Wrap-Around Services Team. The Registered Nurse will report directly to the Program Director and play a crucial role in the assessment, treatment planning, and service delivery for individuals supported by the Community Treatment Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with individuals to enhance their health and wellness, achieve symptom stabilization, and foster self-management skills, enabling them to lead self-directed lives.
  • Support individuals with autism spectrum disorder, psychiatric conditions, and substance use challenges in identifying their personal priorities, strengths, and interests to establish recovery-oriented goals.
  • Collaborate with the CTT Team to conduct comprehensive assessments, including psychiatric history, mental status evaluations, physical health assessments, and social functioning.
  • Work alongside program management to develop and deliver training for staff and participants on health, wellness, and positive lifestyle choices.
  • Complete and authorize clinical documentation to facilitate rehabilitation billing processes as required.
  • Implement outreach strategies to engage individuals who may be difficult to reach, including those in shelters and transitional housing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification: Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges is required. Supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Additional Requirements: A valid Driver's license is necessary. MAP certification and CPR/First Aid certification must be obtained within the first five months of employment.
