Director of Clinical Case Management

The Director of Clinical Case Management is accountable for the strategic direction, operational functionality, and overall management of the Case Management and Social Work division. This role is integral and collaborative, aimed at empowering healthcare providers to deliver optimal, clinically suitable care to patients while ensuring the efficient use of hospital resources. The Director leads population-centered teams to improve clinical, service, and financial outcomes consistently.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Texas
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master's Degree is mandatory
- Experience as a Director of Case Management in an Acute Care Hospital setting
- Certification from the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) to be obtained within one year
- Commission for Case Management (CCM), American Case Management Association (ACMA), or National Board for Case Management certification required within one year of employment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Exhibit the necessary skills and competencies to perform assigned duties safely, as determined through ongoing assessments and evaluations
- Demonstrate proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to fulfill essential job functions
- Engage with others in a manner that instills confidence in personal and organizational intentions
- Utilize appropriate interpersonal techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans, adapting behavior to suit tasks and individuals
- Showcase leadership qualities and critical thinking through self-directed initiatives and effective communication skills
- Identify and analyze issues, problems, and opportunities by comparing data from various sources
- Employ effective strategies for decision-making and solution development
- Possess extensive knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards impacting the department
- Stay informed about industry developments and changes
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation abilities
- Work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in workplace situations
- Lead teams and facilitate group discussions effectively

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with InterQual is preferred
- Maintain a positive and supportive demeanor
