About the Role: The Refugee Services Case Manager will play a crucial role within the Refugee Services team. This position is tasked with delivering comprehensive case management services that address a variety of client needs, including access to public benefits, medical follow-up, emergency services, and cultural adjustment support. Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with Refugee Services staff to eliminate barriers to client self-sufficiency.
  • Conduct outreach initiatives to enroll clients in the Social Adjustment Program.
  • Input client data into the Refugee Services database and ClientTrack System.
  • Document all client interactions and services in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Provide information, referrals, and hands-on assistance to clients to address diverse needs.
  • Assist clients in applying for Food Stamps, Medicaid, RMA, CHIP, Gold Card, SSI, Emergency benefits, and other public assistance programs.
  • Support clients with medical appointments, including transportation and follow-up care.
  • Monitor client progress and report findings to the supervisor and Refugee Services team.
  • Refer refugee families to Employment, Match Grant, RCA, ESL, and other relevant programs.
  • Evaluate clients facing unique challenges and make appropriate referrals to facilitate self-sufficiency.
  • Maintain detailed case files for each client and document all activities as per program requirements.
  • Compile and submit reports as mandated by program guidelines.
  • Provide interpretation and transportation services to clients as necessary.
  • Assist with airport pickups for refugees when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Two years of experience in case management or working with refugee/immigrant populations is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Fluency in one of the refugee languages (Dari, Pashto, or Spanish) is required.
  • A passion for working in a diverse office environment with clients from various backgrounds.
  • Energetic, self-motivated team player.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated independent judgment, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Must be willing and able to operate a 12-passenger van.
  • A valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance are required.
