Job Summary:

The Billing Specialist role is part of the Finance team at Evergreen Treatment Services, supporting the organization's mission through accurate and timely billing and coding of medical claims.

This position reports to the Revenue Cycle Supervisor and ensures all billing procedures are executed in line with governmental laws and policies.

The Billing Specialist will support the entire ETS agency, including the Seattle site, South Sound Olympia, and South King County Renton.

This dynamic position plays a crucial role in helping ETS accomplish its mission by ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of medical claims.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial claims in the Electronic Health Records (SAMMS).
  • Upload claim files to the appropriate payer's portal or the clearinghouse to send out claims for payment.
  • Reconcile claims sent to King County against the claim's payment report.
  • Receive and review error reports from the previous night's transmissions to resubmit corrections.

What You Contribute:

As a Billing Specialist, you will contribute to the success of ETS by working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness.

You will also assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism.

Requirements:

This position requires exceptional multi-tasking and interpersonal skills, with regular interaction with employees.

The position is remote/hybrid, with occasional in-office meetings, and the location is at ETS' South Sound Clinic facility.

The annual salary range for this position is $54,000 - $57,000 DOE ($/hr.). ETS strives to achieve pay equity and transparency as part of our goal to create an equitable workplace.
