We are currently seeking skilled Carpenters to join our construction projects in the DC Metro area. At Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors, we value craftsmanship and creativity, and we offer competitive pay and benefits to our employees.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project designs
- Estimate and manage project materials and resources
- Select and utilize appropriate tools and equipment
- Work from blueprints and technical instructions
- Ensure accuracy and quality of work
- Utilize various carpentry tools and techniques
- Assemble and install structures and equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
Work Environment
Our projects involve renovating occupied facilities and working in various outdoor conditions. Personal protective equipment is required on-site, and employees must be able to adapt to changing weather conditions.
Physical Demands
Employees must be able to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position with potential for night and weekend shifts to meet project deadlines. Reliable transportation is necessary for travel to project sites.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience
- Knowledge of basic carpentry tools and techniques preferred
- Pay range: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
