The Boys and Girls Clubs of Hartford Inc is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Wellness Manager to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive health and wellness program that addresses the needs of our youth members, including physical activity, nutrition, and mental health.
  • Collaborate with local community organizations, schools, and healthcare providers to provide resources and support for our members.
  • Manage and maintain a safe and healthy environment for our members, including the gym and social recreation spaces.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote healthy lifestyles, including healthy eating, physical activity, and stress management.
  • Provide coaching and training to staff on health and wellness topics, including first aid and CPR.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers and community organizations to provide resources and support for our members.
  • Manage and report on program outcomes and metrics, including participation rates and member feedback.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as health education, exercise science, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in a leadership position working with youth, preferably in a health and wellness setting.
  • Experience developing and implementing health and wellness programs, including program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations, including youth, parents, and community partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership-building.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
