Teller Operations Coordinator

A Teller Operations Coordinator is the heartbeat of our banking centers, providing excellent customer service, monitoring and training team members, and working with clients to discover sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Customer Service Satisfaction of the Banking Center, resolving customer issues with a manner consistent with goals.
- Lead the Technical Performance of the Financial Center, maintaining control over key risk areas, including teller differences, operational losses, and audit control procedures.
- Handle cash drawers, ensuring proper control and following audit and security policies and procedures.
- Manage single control vaults, ensuring proper control of vault cash and following audit and security policies and procedures.
- Maintain workflow and handle scheduling for tellers.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide counseling when needed.
- Determine and satisfy training needs and establish performance plans.
- Cross-sell and make referrals to generate new business and additional services.
- Conduct teller meetings to develop a communication line and explain new policies.
- Assist in conducting meetings to promote sales, product knowledge, and customer service.
- Explain product benefits, changes, restrictions, requirements, and other relevant product information to customers and tellers.
- Ensure proper control and maximum efficiency in the teller line.
- Follow all audit and security policies and procedures during customer service hours and at banking office opening and closing.
- Control inventory of cash, Traveler's checks, Official Checks, and Personal Money Orders through dual control.
- Monitor daily balancing and processing of ATM, including processing of all entries, servicing, and required audits.
- Verify deposits in the night and lobby depository.
- Alert tellers about suspected fraud, kiting, theft, or other illegal activity.
- Secure all applicable cash records and other transaction records, supplies, and computer equipment at the end of the workday.
- Monitor and control teller cash limits and branch cash.
- Accountable for ensuring that the total cash in the branch is balanced daily.
- Coordinate and assist with dual control vault responsibilities.
- Use good judgment and follow bank policies when overriding transactions for tellers with withdrawals/less cash authority.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with a 10-key calculator and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Prior teller experience preferred.
