Job Title:

SIC Electrical Foreman (COLA SB)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Electrical Foreman to work out of our Columbia, SC office on various jobsites in the NC/SC/GA area. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning new or modified installations, supervising and coordinating activities of assigned craft workers, and ensuring compliance with local electrical codes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plan new or modified installations to effectively and efficiently construct or repair wiring, fixture, or equipment consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
2. Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
3. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
4. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
5. Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
6. Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
7. Attend project planning/scheduling meetings.
8. Analyze and resolve work problems.
9. Maintain time records.
10. Inspect quality of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
11. Rate information using personal judgment or standards that can be measured or checked.
12. Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

The successful candidate must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.

The candidate must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.

The candidate must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools. The candidate must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
