The Plasma Control Technologies division is the largest within Comet and is recognized globally for its expertise in the design and production of high-performance Vacuum Capacitors, RF Matches, and RF Generators tailored for the semiconductor sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a vital member of Comet's expanding Product Development Team, you will construct, configure, calibrate, maintain, and operate testing stations utilized for the evaluation and design validation of High-Power RF Matching Systems and associated modules, including sensors and electromechanical control systems.
  • Calibrate and assess new matching prototypes according to client specifications, collaborating closely with R&D design engineers.
  • Implement and troubleshoot automated testing procedures for advanced product performance characterization and Design Validation Testing (DVT) of RF Matching Networks.
  • Collaborate with R&D Design Engineers to evaluate performance characteristics, specifications, and related testing protocols for new RF systems and modules, documenting all findings.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of our testing methodologies and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as an Engineering Technician in product development and/or design validation.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with RF systems and modules, with a preference for kW power level experience.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with the setup and operation of intricate RF testing equipment, including VNA, power meters, spectrum analyzers, RF power generators, and oscilloscopes.
  • Basic knowledge of analog electronic components and analog circuit functionality is required.
  • Experience with scripting tools for automating design validation tests (LabView/Python) is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and a methodical approach.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical system issues.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Able to work effectively within a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced setting.
