Job Summary

Kyocera International, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Systems Engineer to join our team in San Diego, California. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cellular radio frequency (RF) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and optimize cellular RF systems for wireless products, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers to develop and maintain cellular RF systems, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Requirements and Specifications: Develop and maintain RF system requirements and specifications, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with vendors to select and integrate RF components and modules, and develop and maintain test plans and procedures for RF systems.
  • Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze and troubleshoot RF system issues, providing solutions and recommendations for improvement.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain documentation for RF systems, providing training to other engineers and stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in designing and optimizing cellular RF systems.
  • Experience leading a team of engineers to develop RF systems.
  • Strong understanding of cellular network architecture and protocols.
  • Experience with RF simulation tools and software.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
