The Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC) is currently seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team in Springfield, MO. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical support and assistance to the executive director, including managing correspondence, evaluating requests, and maintaining filing systems.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and scheduling for the executive director and executive committee members.
  • Deliver administrative support to the executive committee, including meeting planning and coordination.
  • Record, transcribe, and maintain minutes of executive committee meetings and other administrative records.
  • Plan and organize meetings and events for assigned groups, including supervisory and law enforcement coordinators.
  • Assist with data entry of expenses and review expense reports for various travel activities.
  • Compile statistical reports and other documentation for administrative functions.
  • Prepare agenda materials for quarterly executive committee meetings and manage electronic resources.
  • Assist in the management of pool vehicles, including scheduling maintenance and monitoring usage.
  • Support team-building activities and engagement initiatives for staff and committee members.
  • Handle incoming calls, direct inquiries, and provide general support to visitors.
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by additional training in clerical or administrative skills from an accredited institution. Relevant experience in performing complex administrative duties is required. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Work Environment: This position is based in Springfield, MO, with standard office hours typically from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flexible scheduling may be available after the initial training period, subject to departmental needs and approval.

Salary: The starting salary for this role is $46,739.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an extensive background investigation.
  • Drug testing may be required.
