Job Summary:

As a Front Desk Agent at Holston House Nashville, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, registering guests, and ensuring a smooth stay experience. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Registering guests and handling check-ins and check-outs in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Providing attentive and courteous service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Handling requests for information, mail, and messages in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Answering guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation.
  • Establishing and maintaining good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments within the hotel.
  • Being aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions, as well as in-house groups and closed-out dates.
  • Obtaining necessary information when taking room reservations and following rate quoting scenarios.
  • Familiarizing yourself with all hotel policies and house rules, as well as hospitality terminology.
  • Assisting in emergency procedures as required.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • A positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • The ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and problem-solve in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Basic arithmetic functions and financial knowledge.
  • An operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
