Technical Solutions Architect Principal

As a Technical Solutions Architect Principal, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to technical sections of proposals and whitepapers for public sector RFPs and RFIs. You will serve as a public-facing technical expert for Akamai at industry events, conferences, and webinars, showcasing the value of our solutions to public sector stakeholders.

You will engage with public sector customers, understanding their mission-critical needs and translating them into tailored technical solutions using Akamai's portfolio. You will work closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams to influence product roadmaps and ensure alignment with public sector requirements.

As a thought leader on topics like cloud security, edge computing, and web application protection, you will represent Akamai and drive technical solution development, stitching together Akamai's portfolio to meet the unique requirements of public sector missions.

To be successful in this role, you will have 15 years of relevant experience in technical architecture, solutions engineering, or roles within cloud, cybersecurity, or networking technologies and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent. You will have extensive experience working in the public sector, with deep knowledge of federal and defense missions.

You will have proven experience in contributing to and writing technical proposals, whitepapers, and RFP/RFI responses. You will have technical presentation skills with experience speaking at industry events and webinars. You will have the ability to build trusted relationships with government customers and technology partners.

You will have the ability to navigate ambiguity, take ownership of challenges, and drive outcomes even in complex situations. You will have the willingness to challenge the status quo and innovate to deliver superior solutions.

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $145,300 - $301,700/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
