Job Title: Principal Backend Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Context Labs. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our backend software systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement business requirements.
  • Design and implement performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality code standards.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in full-stack development.
  • Strong understanding of modern application architectures.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented development and API development.
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring/Quarkus/Helidon.
  • Proficiency with Docker-based microservice architectures and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with NoSQL/NewSQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with functional programming.
  • Experience with languages other than Java.
