Job Description

Draper Labs is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Architect to join our Digital Engineering and Enabling Technologies Division. As a key member of our team, you will apply systems-thinking and advanced methodologies to develop innovative solutions to complex system- and enterprise-level problems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with experience in developing and implementing systems architecture solutions. You will work closely with senior leaders across Draper to analyze and capture customer and stakeholder needs, understand and evaluate relevant technology options, and apply advanced decision-making strategies to develop innovative system solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of system solutions that meet customer and stakeholder needs
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate technical risks
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with national experts in science and technology
  • Creating and presenting senior-level communications for internal and external customers

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field, and 7-10+ years of experience as a systems engineer or related role. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
