Key Responsibilities
  • Design and model data and delivery architecture, standards, and processes to improve the management of information and data throughout their lifecycles.
  • Manage the design and implementation of discovery systems by collaborating with AWS, AWS partners, ecosystem vendors, and data scientists.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience working in a data-driven research environment.
  • 15+ years of IT domain experience is required.
  • 5+ years working in a solutions architecture capacity, preferably in a biopharmaceutical or research environment.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, migrating, and implementing computation, hosting, and storage solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • 2+ years of experience using data management tools such as Databricks, Immuta, Informatica.
  • Strong security-first mindset. Track-record of partnering with security teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions at research pace.
  • Deeply passionate about learning and innovating new technology to drive biological, chemical, and gene-based research.

  • Strong history of effective cross-functional team collaboration and execution.
  • Ready to think, behave, and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the priorities of the R&D functions.
