Job Title: Customer Service Representative

San Jose Water Company is seeking a talented and driven Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our customers, handling customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and handle customer accounts, inquiries, and billing concerns
  • Schedule appointments for high usage, leak issues, and conservation
  • Access customer account data and resolve issues using the Customer Information System
  • Furnish information on company rates, rules, regulations, and water conservation
  • Handle a high volume of customer interactions by telephone and in person
  • Accept, apply, and process customer payments

Requirements:
  • Ability to use listening and judgment to interpret and handle customer inquiries
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, personal computers, and telephone
  • Ability to operate the automated Customer Information System with speed and accuracy
  • General knowledge of customer service practices and office policies
  • Experience handling incoming customer calls
