Senior Operational Procurement Manager

We are partnering with a global market leader in the FMCG industry to find a Senior Operational Procurement Manager to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

About the Role:

The Senior Procurement Category Manager will play a crucial role in establishing a top-tier procurement department that generates significant commercial and operational value through RFX processes, E-Procurement, change management, and the effective management of both internal and external supplier relationships within a multimillion-dollar supplier expenditure organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, oversight, and facilitation of the purchasing strategy
  • Manage operations and logistics for the designated functional area and category
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Lead change management initiatives and develop national-level partnerships with primary vendor associates
  • Leverage regional best practices throughout North America

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of procurement & contract management experience, preferably within the retail industry
  • Possess extensive experience in negotiating complex supply contracts for large-scale goods and services
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of operational functions, emphasizing the significance of close collaboration and partnership to achieve aligned value
  • Exhibit confidence as a strong communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively
  • Ability to be on site in the Charlotte office 2-3 days a week
