Product Applications Specialist

Job Summary:

The Product Applications Specialist provides critical engineering, technical, and documentation support in product design, development, and deployment. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Hardware Engineering at 40HRS, Inc.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical customer support and first-line assistance for design integration issues and production-related technical issues.
  • Interface with engineering teams to resolve customer issues and update a weekly tracker summarizing active customer technical support issues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage customer-facing communication for Field Application (FA) cases, coordinating with customers, internal sales teams, and test engineering for FA process and customer-facing communication.
  • Update and maintain a weekly tracker summarizing all active FA cases.
  • Manage and maintain customer-facing documentation, including datasheets, firmware specifications, customer release notes, white papers, and application notes.
  • Provide technical expertise, support, and advice to assigned external standards bodies, actively participating in NVDIMM, ES, and CXL Task Groups.
  • Report developments and technical summaries of relevant JEDEC TG meetings to senior management to ensure product development aligns with ongoing standards efforts.
  • Provide engineering support for assigned products, including design support for new Power GEM designs, DDR5 and CXL-based NVRAM technology, and PCIe switch development board.
  • Provide test and data analysis support for NVMe drive performance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in failure analysis for SSD, DIMM, and NVDIMM products.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in key tools and technology, including NVMe, SAS/SATA/NVMe/M.2/U.2, Compute Express Link (CXL) interface, JEDEC NVDIMM Firmware Specifications, and JEDEC Energy Source firmware specification.
Compensation:

$135K - $165K per year
